About Me
My Background
I hold a BA in English, an MS in Education, and a 6th Year in Educational Leadership.
Before entering public education, I spent over a decade working at a boarding school for students with learning differences and ADHD, serving as an administrator, literature teacher, and residential advisor. That experience shaped my understanding of how powerful individualized instruction and strong relationships can be for student growth.
Now, as a public school teacher, I’ve gained an equally important perspective. Public education involves larger class sizes, diverse learning needs, IEPs and 504 plans, parent communication, and the bureaucratic layers that impact day-to-day teaching. I don’t share this as a complaint, but because I understand what teachers are navigating in real classrooms. I know how limited our time is and how much is asked of us.
I am also trained in yoga and mindfulness, and while I’m not currently teaching regular yoga classes, I integrate those principles (grounding, patience, breathwork, and self-awareness) into my life, my parenting, and my work with students. These values shape how I teach and how I create resources for educators.
Having lived both independent school and public school experiences, I see the very real gap between educational theory and the realities of classroom practice. That understanding is at the heart of what I create here: practical, classroom-tested supports that respect teachers’ time and expertise.
