Yoga & Mindfulness for Tween and Teen Girls:
Adolescence and the teen years are a complicated time for girls. They find themselves challenged physically, mentally, and emotionally, and those increasing pressures can lead to a rise in stress and anxiety. A regular yoga practice can help counteract those stressors.
This playful, non-competitive series will foster increased self-awareness, confidence, and mindfulness. Through the use of yoga postures, relaxation tools, and community-building, the classes will explore the benefits of a healthy mind-body connection. The girls will practice physical yoga postures (for strength and flexibility of the body) and age-appropriate meditation and relaxation tools (for strength and flexibility of the mind) in a light-hearted, judgment free environment. Some yoga-inspired crafts, too!
